Online Intent to Graduate
By Tracy R. Jones, Assistant Dean, College of Graduate Studies
The online intent to graduate form is now LIVE in MyUCF for students that intend to graduate in spring 2010 and beyond. Students can access the online intent form through MyUCF under Student Academics. They can track the status of their graduation application and complete any university, program or college surveys. We have had several students test the process and none reported any functionality issues or confusion when filing the form. We are still working to provide a help guide for students and expect it to be available shortly.
Students that have already filed by paper for spring 2010 graduation do not need to submit the online form. We are encouraging students to apply by the last day of add for the spring 2010 term and that date will be posted in the Academic Calendar as the deadline for graduate students. The system will continue to accept online forms through the withdrawal deadline for spring 2010. After the withdraw deadline, the only method of filing will be the paper form. Additionally, students who will "walk only" or are receiving a master's along the way and students that are completing certificate programs will still need to file the appropriate hard copy form.
Training has taken place for some program and college representatives. Please keep in mind that access to this information and to the queries in PeopleSoft that lists students that have applied for graduation requires training attendance. If you still need training or have questions about the process, please contact graddegr@mail.ucf.edu.
This is a new process for staff and students and we look forward to hearing all comments about the process in order to ensure it works smoothly going forward.
